I am a huge, huge fan of yours (not stalker level though ). I have learned so much from you! I just wanted to tell you that recently, I had to fight for a localized scaling and root planing for a patient. He had 4mm on one tooth and 5mm on 2 others. It was appealed and denied 4 times. The patient begged that I try one more time. I wrote a narrative, stated CDT code definitions, enlarged the x-rays and circled bone loss and then attached an article I found on the ADA website stating what constitutes as perio disease. I got a call from the consultant at Guardian that said he was very, very impressed with my narrative, said it was the single greatest narrative that has come across his desk, commented that I was pushing it with the bone loss, but he approved it anyway!!
